Afro-Asian Inspiration – Look 3

Afro-Asian Inspiration – Look 3

For the third and final look of our Afro-Asian – East meets West wedding concept shoot – We opted for an earthy natural look. Natural tones and textures, complimented by green florals and foliage, then offset with metallic copper – created a decidedly tranquil contemporary setting. Raw wood pallet dining table with copper tolix dining chairs.   Suspended raw linen lampshade with woven basket pendants housing dripping amaranths and parrot tulips.   Cork underplates, subtle grey botanical print napkin, rose-gold cutlery.     Copper pipe candle sticks – repurposed as a vase to hold single green cymbidium orchid heads. Turned raw wood vases with bamboo shoots. Conrete and grey ceramic planters with green florals and foliage.     Smoky grey wine goblets. Raw edge grey sheer linen runner. Layered breadboards, square textured ceramic side plates and bowl and bespoke menu cards and name tags.       Cascading green floral bouquet looks amazing against our brides raw silk earthy gown.   Behind the scenes:   Publication:     Blog Feature: See our shoot featured here  https://southboundbride.com/afro-asian-fusion-wedding-inspiration-by-ninirichi-style-studio-ginger-ale-photography/ Interested in renting any our our beautiful decor elements featured in this shoot – view our catalogue http://stock.ninirichi.co.za/ or visit our Johannesburg showroom https://www.ninirichi.webstory.co.za/contact-2/ Credits: Concept, Décor, Styling & Florals @ninirichistylestudio | Napery Hire @setthetablehire | Photography @gingeralephotography | Flower Sponsor @yesexclusiveflowers | Venue @thegalleria | Garments & Accessories @lunarlifestyle | Belts @thespacesa | Makeup @missymakeupartist | Hair Styling @hair_dimension | Furniture Rentals @inspirefurniture | Cutlery @nicolsonrussell | Graphic Design & Stationery @thedesignlot_sa | Publication @wedding_inspirations_magazine | Model – Farana Ferini Dayal @Farah_dayal | Wardrobe Styling...

Afro-Asian Inspiration – Look 2

We worked with striking teal, yellow, white and gold for our second styled look created for the Afro-Asian – East meets West wedding concept shoot. Exotic oriental influences paired with more subtle African indigenous and patterning touches – created a uniquely bold yet harmonious styled look. Ivory perspex Ghost chairs paired with a classic golden dining table,  was adorned with a white natural  raw-edge cotton runner,  yellow and teal napkins,  cedar wood slice chargers, vases in a mix of textured gold, black oxide, and teal glass. We worked with a combination of yellow dendrobium and cymbidium orchids paired with African Arum lilies in the floral arrangements. Teal tassels were used in the stationery to complement the Vietnamese silk lanterns suspended above the table.       Exquisite bride with her striking yellow floral bouquet we designed.     Published in the Spring 2017 issue of Wedding Inspirations Magazine     See our shoot featured here  https://southboundbride.com/afro-asian-fusion-wedding-inspiration-by-ninirichi-style-studio-ginger-ale-photography/   Interested in renting any our our beautiful decor elements featured in this shoot – view our catalogue http://stock.ninirichi.co.za/ or visit our Johannesburg showroom https://www.ninirichi.webstory.co.za/contact-2/   Credits: Concept, Décor, Styling & Florals @ninirichistylestudio | Napery Hire @setthetablehire | Photography @gingeralephotography | Flower Sponsor @yesexclusiveflowers | Venue @thegalleria | Garments & Accessories @lunarlifestyle | Belts @thespacesa | Makeup @missymakeupartist | Hair Styling @hair_dimension | Furniture Rentals @inspirefurniture | Cutlery @nicolsonrussell | Graphic Design & Stationery @thedesignlot_sa | Publication @wedding_inspirations_magazine | Model – Farana Ferini Dayal @Farah_dayal | Wardrobe Styling @eleniarvanitakis  ...

Afro-Asian Inspiration – Look 1

In an over-saturated social media market, jam packed with replicated ideas, it often seems impossible to come up with anything new. Search on Google or Pinterest and you are likely to find it has already been done numerous times. We at Ninirichi actively seek ways to always remain innovative and original when developing wedding and event styling concepts for our clients. One of my favourite strategies is to marry two seemingly opposite concepts or styles and sit back and enjoy the surprising fresh beauty that emerges! Hence the birth of this beautiful styled shoot concept of East meets West, Afro-Asia. The local elements, earthy textures, African patterns and objects are warm, tactile and familiar; whereas the oriental elements are exotic, dramatic and dreamy. Is that not what a marriage is all about – the merging of two separate lives to create a new and unique unified identity? The starting point for each design was the selection of unique natural linens from Set The Table. The colour schemes stemmed from pairing the linen choices with our décor elements that best popped. We then chose floral forms that best suited the containers and rental furniture pieces and cutlery that complemented the looks. We then briefed The Design Lot of the stationery concepts and sourced earthy statement garments and accessories from Lunar Life and The Space to bring it all together. This striking yet delicate look marries soft pinks, bold reds, dramatic black and natural tones and textures – prevalent in both African and Asian aesthetics.   Suspended African chicken baskets and red Chinese bird cages – embellished with floral heads and...
