The team at Ninirichi Style Studio has once again collaborated with amazing top industry vendors to bring to life this theme and concept led by Head Décor stylist, Jeanine Richards. “It’s Chemistry!” tells the story of two varsity sweethearts and their love of science. We encourage brides to tell a personal story as a couple on their big day — what their interests are and their shared passion that brought them together in the first place.
This imaginative theme was inspired and styled with chemistry, physics, geometry, botany and educational heritage in mind. Every detail and element, from colour to form was carefully thought out to create the scene for this story.
Stationery designed by Charlotte from Ninirichi Style Studio. Metallic stock papers, floral references and inspiration drawn from the science theme and Periodic Table. Horizontal lines between characters suggest chemical bonds. A scientific-inspired monogram has been carried though all stationery. Saturated theme colours set against a stark white canvas with ombre hues and molecular-influenced font used on all stationery and printed elements.
The wedding ceremony area was set-up under the amazing glass marquee at Shepstone Gardens – this striking concept styling made a memorable statement. A customized printed ceremony backdrop/aisle runner featured the the bride and groom’s personalized designed monogram and the vows that were shared. Floral focal points include suspended orchid hoops, orchid isle markers in Erlenmeyer flasks and floral-moss pomanders suggestive of atomic orbits.
The post ceremony drinks area was setup with a striking deep-button padded bar and glowing display units by Liquid Chefs. Theme related smoking cocktail recipes were developed and the displayed in scientific vessels on the bar counter.
Amazing molecular gastronomy edible culinary art-pieces were developed by Chef Craig from The Culinary Workshop.
Lots of detail and theatrics added to the culinary experience – Silver cloches lifted to reveal the canapes and personalized monogrammed tea-towels for the waiters.
Our lovely couple posing for the post-ceremony shots in this beautiful setting.
The bride sporting an over-sized orchid basket bouquet decorated with sparkling chain and diamante strings.
A beautiful photo-opportunity display of geometric himmeli sculptures housing floral heads – these sculptures are known to scientifically enhance plant growth.
Seating chart inspired by the Periodic Table of Elements. Initials in each name were used with appropriate colours of the wedding — purples, blues, gold, silver, sage green and fuchsia.
A sophisticated and dramatic tablescape – long white banquet tables with concealed lighting and smoke effect. Clear perspex ghost chairs reflecting the lighting beautifully. A modernized green-house botanical floral display running along the full length of the table.
Clean modern place-setting details – rectangular ceramic charger plates, green square side plates, scientific element themed place-cards, violet linen napkins, individual menu cards.
An assortment of vases and scientific vessels were scattered along the length of the banquet tables – housing beautiful single stems florals.
The dessert table was a “D.I.Y. invent your own Atomic Chocolate Fudge Sundae” concept. The “cake” was a bowl towered with ice-cream balls and decorated with fun printed scientific concept
toppers. Amazing flavoured syrups and fudges by Sweet Angels Gourmet Fudge were on display in scientific vessels aptly labelled with theme appropriate titles. The display was enhanced with a modern table, pedestals, glowing resin risers, orchids, effect lighting and smoke machine.
The chill area was decorated with stylish white furniture pieces and the glowing cocktail tables.
A conceptual library scene with fun theme props to pose with was set-up as an interactive photo-booth experience. A vintage school desk was decorated with fun element symbol bunting. Hanging books upholstered in raw silk and leather with gold foiling scientific titles. Hanging flowers in test-tubes softened the space. An over-sized light-bulb pendant feature added some decorative lighting and scientific effect.
A porcelain mortar and pestle with fragrant fizzing bath salts was the thank-you gift concept – beautifully packaged with personalized labels.
HUGE THANK YOU
